Inside Parliament, senators continue to prove that they have a hard tie staying on topic when it came to debating a motion to authorize the government to borrow over 16 million US from the Caribbean Development Bank for the purpose of funding the Education Quality Improvement Project (EQUIP). Sentaor Timothy Mangal could not resist taking a swipe at opposition Senator Joachim Henry who himself had deviated from education to the issue of health. Mangal found himself in the same predicament, having to be stopped and cautioned by the President of the Senate. Continuing his contribution, he highlighted the benefits of the EQUIP project, making the case for government’s vision of transforming the education sector.
