The business community is growing increasingly concerned about incidents of burglaries targeting delivery good vans and trucks. The St Lucia Chamber of Commerce put forward its concerns to the Royal St Lucia Police Force during a recent sit down. The stakeholders came together to discuss a plan of action to curb the spate the crimes that have taken a toll on the employees of business owners and have also taken a toll on the revenue of their companies. The Deputy Police Commissioner suggested armed security. The Chamber of Commerce, says this was just the initial sit down with police and that the business community plans to continue the dialogue to ensure safety for their employees who must venture out on deliveries.
