Castries Mayor Peterson Francis and the Cuba ambassador recently sat down for a courtesy call.

The city mayor is to visit Cuba in addition to the planned Cuba trip,  the two men discussed  number of matters of mutual interest including health and medical care. They spoke about a possible solution to the rodent problem in Castries. A proposal was presented for a Cuba manufactured product to be used in a rodent eradication exercise in the Saint Lucia capital. The Ambassador urged Saint Lucians to make the most of medical care offered by his country. Over a three day period in April this year Cuban doctors provided staff of the CCC with medical checkups. One hundred and fourteen employees of the CCC benefitted from the free medical checks, according to reports.
