A former UK justice minister has urged the British Government to do more to support families whose loved ones are murdered overseas. He spoke on behalf of the family of Oliver Gobat. Gobat, 38, was found dead in the passenger seat of his car, not far away from his family’s hotel. The businessman was shot twice in the head before his vehicle was set alight. The former justice minister said the family feels completely let down not just by the lack of progress in the case, but the failure of UK police to deliver on the kind of support promised by the UK Prime Minister 18 months ago. Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, has left the island for the UK on government business. While there, he will follow up with British authorities on this matter.
