Imagine working all your life to own a home, and having to watch it burn to the ground. That was the reality for Vanessa Mathurin over the weekend. On Monday, she was still in shock and in tears. Mathurin is one of two persons who lost a home due to a fire at Cas En Bar. The other fire victim is her brother and next door neighbour. Mathurin says she has been left with nothing but the clothes that were on her back that day. She broke into tears when she spoke about the years she worked as a security guard slowly building her home. She says any assistance that can be provided to her will be appreciated given that all her belongings were burned inside the structure
