The National Community Foundation (NCF) hosted its 14th annual telethon on Sunday. Through its annual telethon the NCF provides scholarships for underprivileged children, assistance to elderly, the homeless, persons with disabilities, as well as inclusion programs for youth at risk, and health care funding for persons with serious medical conditions. Executive director of the NCF, Michelle Phillip, says while the target of $200,000.00 was not met, the event was a success.
