Plans are on stream for the hosting of this year’s national carnival queen pageant. The official sashing ceremony for the 8 contestants was held last evening where contestants got to meet and mingle with their sponsors. Barry George is the Creative Director of the pageant this year. He has hailed the red carpet affair as a tremendous success. This year’s contestants are: Claire- Marissa Smartt, Jozel Cooper, Shannon Preville, Edel William, Shanice Edward, Lisa Marie Faustin, Chancy Fontenelle and Nicola Fanus.
He says the new committee is looking to build on the strengths of St Lucia’s mother of all pageants.
