Director of the Saint Lucia National Trust, Bishnu Tulsie, has been asked to delay his retirement and stay on for an additional term. According to SLNT communications officer, the membership of the Trust unanimously voted on a resolution to retain Bishnu Tulsie as director during its emergency membership meeting on Saturday, April 29. At the meeting, members expressed the view that it is important for Tulsie to continue to manage the affairs of the Trust during this very crucial period. Prime Minister Allen Chastanet recently stated that he was satisfied that Tulsie would be retiring and even expressed the view that he had not done a good job as Director. Under the direction of Tulsie, the National Trust has been accused by the government, of being inconsistent on issues like a Dolphin Park and being unprofessional toward potential investors. No word yet on whether Bishnu Tulsie will indeed delay his retirement.
