The United Workers Party drew its own large crowd on Wednesday in the southern part of the island. Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, told the crowd that the UWP and his government is one of actions not words.

He says while the Labor Party promised that its 1st, 2nd and 3rd priority while in government would be jobs, jobs, jobs – they failed to deliver on that promise. Prime Minister Chastanet says where the Labor Party failed; the UWP is already on a path to success. He spoke of the vision and desired impact of the DSH Pearl of the Caribbean project and, argued that the SLP will oppose the deal at every turn because it will mean the transformation of the south. Something it argues that the SLP did not achieve. He again stated that phase 1 is the only phase that has been signed off on and that horse racing track component he says will become a reality.
