An accident on Saturday morning claimed the lives of two young men. 18-year old Brandon St Omer and19-year old Bradley Cyril, were onboard a Toyota Axio motorcar when it crashed into the median barriers near the Vigie round-about, flipping over and trapping the two young men inside. The Fire Service rushed St Omer and Cyril to the hospital but both succumbed to their injuries. The young men were both well-known and well liked. Bradley Cyril, was a national footballer as well as a talented sprinter. His team the Morne Stars have expressed condolences to his family. They say he was at training just two days ago. A graduate of Castries Comprehensive Secondary School, he was described as a thoughtful and caring young man.
