27 year old Seame Cherry, also known as Snake Oil, of Gros Islet, is dead following a shooting at Piat, Grand Riviere.
The young man was shot four times early Saturday morning. His grandmother, who raised him as a child, has told the press that he had previously survived another shooting. She said her grandson had a troubled past, but says she was not aware of too many details surrounding his lifestyle, given the fact that he had moved back to leave with his mother. His mother later migrated to the US and is reportedly very ill and undergoing treatment. Those who knew Cherry, say he was doing his best to start over and leave his troubled past behind him. One person is currently in police custody in connection with the shooting of the young man.
