The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) says it too is deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic passing of Andy Delmar, Managing Director of 1st National Bank St. Lucia Limited and President of the ECCU Bankers Association.

Responding to the news of Mr Delmar’s passing, Timothy N. J. Antoine, Governor of the ECCB said quote, “Andy demonstrated strong leadership of the recently revived ECCU Bankers Association and had great plans. We regarded him as a willing and able partner and were looking forward to doing some progressive things together, to take our banking industry to the next level,” end quote.

The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture has added its voice to the outpouring of heartfelt and profound condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Andy Delmar.

The Chamber says, Andy Delmar was a person who always gave his time, knowledge, expertise and resources at his disposal willingly for the benefit of others.

As 1st National Bank’s Chamber representative, Andy will be sorely missed as he possessed a reservoir of knowledge and insight into the critical issues affecting the Banking Sector and the wider economy.

President of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, a close personal friend of Andy, said “Andy’s affable character, love for humanity, undying desire to help all that he could and his ready smile cannot be replaced and he will forever be missed, by more persons and institutions across this island as Andy has left an indelible footprint on so many lives just by being Andy.”

The Chamber says it will miss his incredibly incisive insight into the rapidly changing banking and financial sector.
