The Civil Service Association (CSA) says its members, who are employed with the CSA Credit Union are back on the job after taking industrial action. The union says the workers are pleased with the steps being taken to address their health and safety concerns. Last week the workers abandoned their work stations due to mounting concerns regarding air quality. Since then the Labour Department’s Occupational Health and Safety unit assessed the conditions and put forward recommendations. The CSA says the credit union’s management has taken action to implement recommendations. Carpets and faulty tiles have been removed and cleaning and sanitization also took place. Occupational Health and Safety consultant, Andres Griffith, had expressed concern about the upper floor of the building but that too is being addressed by management.
