On Tuesday May 16th Government of St Lucia, Department of Economic Development attended the official Contract Signing Ceremony for The Reconstruction of The Choiseul Secondary School.
In attendance was the Minister for Education, Dr Gale Rigobert, Minister for Economic Development, Guy Joseph and Parliamentary Representative for Choiseul/ Saltibus Bradley Felix. The project will be financed by the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project. The news has been met with elation on the part of Choiseul residents who have lamented the dilapidated condition of the school for the past 8 years. A section of the school is structurally unsound. There are also issues with leaky roofs and overcrowding.
