Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia continues to set the bar in human resource recognition and development, creating pathways for expression and talent development amongst its employees through its annual Festival of the Arts, Talent and Model Search Competition.

On Saturday, dozens of team talents gathered at Sandals Halcyon in a display of fashion and an array of talent that will see nine people from across the three Sandals Resorts here, representing the island in a group competition in Jamaica later this year. Among the most exciting performances on Saturday came from Sandals Regency LaToc which stole six of the nine talent spots. Topping this list were best male and female models Ron Pierre and Ayana White Smith.

The crown for best female vocalist from across the three resorts went to Jenessa Sharma, also from Regency La Toc. Andreas Francis, from Sandals Halcyon, took this honour in the male category.

As the competition rivaled on, Raide Hippolyte from Sandals Halcyon – a returning contender in a still fairly new category ‘Spoken Word’ – walked away with title.

Sandals Regency LaToc quickly returned to the board when Kenwin Williams hit the stage with his award-winning instrumental performance.

The title for Top Dance Solo performance went to Xenia Douglas, while the top Dance Duo went to Melvin Aurelian and Bradley Paul – all from Sandals La Toc. Lawrence James, from Sandals Halcyon took the prize for the Top DJ in the competition.

Regional Group Creative Manager for Entertainment at Sandals in the Eastern Caribbean, Trevor King, commended the group of more than 30 performers, for their dedication and commitment to the process and rigors of the competition. The Sandals Festival of the Arts Talent and Model Search Competition, recently rebranded from ENCORE, is an annual undertaking across all Sandals and Beaches Resorts throughout the Caribbean that seeks to recognize, expose and amplify the personal passions of team talents throughout the chain.
