The Department of Youth Development and Sports has once again began the preparations for the inter school championship. This year the championship consists of a northern and southern qualifier; the southern qualifier began this week Monday and Tuesday at the La Resource playing field in Dennery whilst the northern qualifier will commence on Thursday at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. The Director of Sports, Patrick Mathurin indicated it is important for persons to show support to the young athletes as they represent their individual schools. The inter schools championship will conclude next week with the semi-finals on the 14th and the Finals on the 16th of March at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
