Leader of the Opposition, Phillip J Pierre has questioned the commitment of the Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, and his government to the vision and goals outlined in his Independence address. Pierre says the Prime Minister claims to be committed to the development of the health sector, his government presides over two health facilities that are at a standstill. According to Pierre, the government refuses to open the Owen King EU hospital, and has diabolic plans in place for St Jude hospital. As far as the opposition leader is concerned, the Prime Minister is all talk and no action on the issue of health care.
